Guy has worked in English language teaching and teacher development for over 25 years and has worked in various countries including the UK, Switzerland, Italy, Poland and Georgia. For the past 16 years he has worked at New College Nottingham on English language programmes and as tutor and course tutor on the CELTA programme, as well as working with international students across the ncn curriculum.
MARIE - BA (English major) Dip Ed, DELTA, IH, The Certificate in E-Moderation.
Marie has worked in English language teaching and teacher development for over 25 years. She has worked in a variety of countries including the UK, France, Oman, Spain, Australia and Saudi Arabia as an EFL/ESOL teacher, Business English teacher, Pre-sessional academic English teacher and a CELTA/PTLLS teacher trainer. She is currently delivering the IH/Cambridge UCLES online CELTA at NCN and keen to reach a wider market in teacher development.
Denise has been teaching for over 20 years, of which, 12 years in English language teaching. She has lived many years in Sweden and Switzerland. She has taught at NCN for the last 12 years, delivering a variety of courses within the EFL programme. She also tutors on the Cambridge CELTA programme.
JACKY - BA Humanities (English Major), DELTA IH, MA ELT, The Certificate in E-moderation, IH.
Jacky has worked in English language teaching and teacher development for almost 20 years. She has worked mainly in the UK as an EFL/ESOL teacher, Academic English teacher and a CELTA/PTLLS teacher trainer. She also worked for a year in China teaching Academic English to university students. She is particularly interested in developing learner autonomy.
SUSAN - BA (Hons) English Studies , PGCE , DELTA, IH, The Certificate in E-moderation.
Having worked in overseas development in Kenya, Susan returned to Nottingham and worked in secondary schools before taking up ELT at New College and doing the CELTA course here. She has worked here continuously ever since teaching English at all levels , and following the DELTA qualification, trained as a CELTA trainer here as well. Susan has also worked for Macmillan on a number of coursebook teacher's resources including the Straightforward series and online EFL materials.
With more than 12 years' experience of working at the College, Peter is well able to guide you through the application process for your English Language course. He also looks after the accommodation service, which involves placing students with homestay hosts and giving advice on other accommodation options.
With over 16 years' experience working at the College, Shila has undertaken various roles before moving to the International team ten years ago. She loves the challenge and variety of her role which includes all aspects of International work from student recruitment, advice and guidance and student support. Shila has completed the Welfare Adviser's Certificate. Shila also manages the International Agent network and supports with all incoming international groups visiting and studying at the college. Shila has attended three Hong Kong recruitment fairs where excellent students had been recruited.
