Students visit Nottingham's Historic Council House

International students from ncn's Nottingham English School visited the City's Council House in the Old Market Square, one of its major historical landmarks. After taking afternoon tea in the ballroom, the 23 English Language students were given a guided tour of the building, including the office of the world famous Sheriff of Nottingham.

Lluis Vidal Olle from Spain said: "it was a great opportunity to visit this fascinating building. I really enjoyed it."

Guy Monk, Programme Area Manager for English said: "The Council House is one of the most iconic buildings in the City with its 200 feet high dome. It is a focal point for celebrations, events and a well known meeting point by the lions. It was a fascinating visit for the students and was part of a much wider social programme that students enjoy at Nottingham English School."
