‘Sweet’ Taste of Success for Eurovision Winners

Currently studying at the Nottingham English School is the Georgian girl band Candy, winners of the 9th Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was held in December 2011 in Yerevan, Armenia.
13 European nations took part in the live contest, with the Georgians' performance of 'Candy Music' coming first in a combined TV audience and professional jury vote.
Band members Irina Khechanova, Mariam Gvaladze, Ana Khanchalyan, Gvantsa Saneblidze and Irina Kovalenko have been taking part in a specially-designed programme, under the direction of EFL manager Guy Monk, to improve their already impressive English language skills. Guy previously met the girls whilst teaching for ncn in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi in 2011.

Candy will reprise their winning entry at the 2012 contest, due to be held in The Netherlands and Nottingham English School wishes them every success in their musical adventures.
