As Nottingham English School is part of the larger New College Nottingham, students have access to a range of facilities beyond the English department. We have our own Restaurant, Theatre, hair and Beauty Salons, Music Venue, Art Gallery and Nurseries to cater for students with young children.
During the Summer of 2014 we refurbished our reception area and classrooms, creating new spaces for teaching and small groups. Along with new furniture, many of the classrooms have also been upgraded to include brand new smartboards – large touchscreens with PC capabilities and internet access to enhance the learning experience.
Class sizes are kept small (no more than 16, often less) which enables not just group learning but individual attention where needed.
There is also a college learning centre (also known as the library) with a large range of books on various subjects along with DVDs, CDs, PCs, internet access and photocopying services.
Nottingham English School students have access to the recently refurbished Higher Education and International Study Lounge – a space equipped with PCs, Internet and printing facilities, along with comfortable seating areas for you to relax and socialise in.
Your classes will take place in the historic Adams Building, complete with its own ‘Harry Potter’ style staircase, which is a very popular feature with visitors from other countries. The building has been sympathetically restored, maintaining many original features whilst also providing safe and comfortable surroundings in which to study. For more information on its history, please see our Location page.
